A brief story of inspiration. Heading south through Kentucky, traveling at night along a major wooded US interstate, an unexpected driver was going to find great relief and refuge because of good brand imaging and sign up-keep. As traffic on the highway came to a crawl, and the sudden downpour of rain and wind was so intense that you could barely see a car length ahead…fear began to set in. Cars pulled over, fortunately making way as the traveler snailed along at 5 miles per hour. The dilemma…the gas needle was falling and the car’s occupants growing ever more concerned. Just as it appeared that nothing was in sight, a beacon of hope was shining high above the tree-line and offering refuge for weary travelers. Over the next hill, a pole sign with well maintained and lit service station sign was the only thing illuminating the exit. Fuel, dry climate, friendly service, the right auto products and something to eat gave comfort and impressed an experience in which the traveler today (20 years later) will seek out the that brand before any other operation available.
